LHSBCA Member Benefits

What being a member of the LHSBCA provides for you and your team:

  • An opportunity to nominate your players for the all-star game and the all-state team. If you are not a current member of the LHSBCA you cannot nominate a player(s) for the LHSCA/LHSBCA all-star game in March or the all-state team.

  • If you would like to one day be an all-star assistant coach, head coach, all-star selection committee member, co-coordinator, or head coordinator, you must be an active member of the association.

  • If you would like to one day be an LHSBCA officer, you must be an active member of the association.

  • If you want to have a voice regarding the direction of high school basketball in Louisiana, including but not limited to split playoff format, Top 28 format changing to “finals only”, coaches cards eligibility (possible +1 elimination), more non-faculty coaches coaching than faculty coaches, select and non-select school relationships, illegal recruiting, and the annual coaches’ clinic date and venue move, then you must be an active member of the association.

  • To be eligible for the annual convention door prize giveaways, you must be a current member. During the most recent clinic, gifts included 3 $50.00 gift cards, a team set of warm-ups, a team set of shoes, a personalized coaches bag, and 12 custom monogrammed Baden game balls.
